“Austin City Limits” will close out its 40th season of tapings on Nov. 17 with chart-topping rockers the Black Keys, who will be making their second appearance on the program.

The duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney are touring behind their eighth studio album, “Turn Blue,” which became their first No. 1 album upon its release in May. They’ll be back in Austin a month later for a Dec. 19 concert at the Erwin Center.

The Black Keys first appeared on Austin City Limits four years ago to support their 2010 album “Brothers.”

Information on ticket giveaways for the taping will be posted about a week beforehand at acltv.com and via the show’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.

PBS broadcasts of new episodes from the 40th season of “Austin City Limits” continue this Saturday at 7 p.m. on KLRU with an hourlong show featuring Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (reviewed on austin360.com when it was taped in July).
