Pop superstar Cher, who was forced to reschedule a string of dates including her Frank Erwin Center appearance earlier this month has now officially cancelled the remainder of her tour. The 68-year-old singer was struck by an infection that affected her kidney function. According to a press release, her progress has been consistent, but doctors have advised she take more time off to ensure a full recovery.
“I am totally devastated. Nothing like this has ever happened to me,” the singer said in a statement. “I cannot apologize enough to all the fans who bought tickets. I’m so proud of this show. It is my best ever. I sincerely hope that we can come back again next year and finish what we started.”

Customers who purchased tickets using a credit card either online or by phone through Texas Box Office will be automatically refunded beginning Monday, Nov. 24. If the refund does not appear on the credit card statement by Wednesday, Dec. 3 or if the customer would like more information, they are asked to call 512-477-6060. Texas Box Office requests that all tickets be shredded or thrown away.
Customers who purchased tickets in person may obtain a refund by returning their tickets to the Texas Box Office point of purchase beginning Monday, Nov. 24. The Frank Erwin Center’s North Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please note that the Box Office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
