Favorite Christmas song: GO.

Instead of trying narrow down the vast catalog of recorded holiday music into one super-playlist, or instead of only devoting one playlist to Christmas music in a month that’s tailor-made for it, we’ve got the ultimate gift. Each week in December, we’ll wrap up a new Christmas music playlist in a different genre. This week: country.

As we draw closer to the 25th, the Christmas shindigs are giving way to homecooking and sitting with your family on the couch. What better soundtrack for the big week, then, than some down-home country? We’re closing out the Four Weeks of Christmas Playlists with the classic carols of George Jones and Tammy Wynette, the Nashville sheen of Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton and even some folksy heartwarmers from John Denver and Emmylou Harris. And you know what? We couldn’t pick just one Willie Nelson song, so we’ve sprinkled the Red Headed Stranger’s yuletide spirit throughout the playlist.

Merry Christmas from all of us at Austin360, y’all. Listed to the country Christmas playlist, now on Spotify.
