Don Leady & His Rockin’ Revue at the Continental Club. No stranger to local audiences from his work with the Tailgators and LeRoi Brothers, guitarist Don Leady has an intriguing partner in twang with this new outfit: 13-year-old Jack Montesinos from the Original Bells of Joy. Leady calls him “the best young picker I’ve ever played with.” Rounding out the Rockin’ Revue rhythm section are bassist Eric Przygocki and drummer Alberto Telo. They’ll play for no cover in the 6:30 p.m. happy-hour slot, with honky-tonker Jesse Dayton following at 10 p.m. for $7. 1315 S. Congress Ave. continentalclub.com.

Also: Catch George Kinney of Austin psychedelic pioneer the Golden Dawn doing a free solo set at 5 p.m. at Waterloo Records as part of a release party for the new issue of Ugly Beats magazine. … Singer-songwriter Matt the Electrician continues his weekly run at Strange Brew with special guest Seela. … Dance the night away in cowboy boots at White Horse with Rosie & the Ramblers, Jim Stringer and Emilie Clepper & Okie Weiss.
