South by Southwest is Austin’s premiere carnival of sights and sounds. Every street’s a stage and everyone with a cell phone is trying to capture their own take on the March madness.  We love sharing our photos from the fest, but we want to see yours too. So this year we’ve decided to launch a SXSW Scavenger Hunt.

Here’s how it works: Start by following @austin360 on Instagram to get ready for the hunt (and check out our cool pics from Austin events). The hunt kicks off on Friday, March 13.  Take pics of any of the items on our list and hashtag them #SXSWhunt. Our crack social media team will enter you into the hunt and start to tally your points.*** We’ll also celebrate your awesome pics with social media shout outs, re-grams and heaps of praise.

Try to capture as many things on the list as possible before 1 p.m. on Friday, March 20 when the hunt ends. One winner*** will be announced on the afternoon of Saturday, March 21. The winner will receive a $100 gift card and a sweet “Tastes of Austin” swag bag stuffed with a selection of our favorite local treats. The winner will need to collect the prize from our office at 305 S. Congress Ave. between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 22 or between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mon-Fri, March 23-27. Good luck and happy hunting!

*** The Austin360 mathematical accuracy committee will use cutting edge technology like calculators and Excel Spreadsheets to tally the results. In the event of a tie, the Austin360 cool pic determination committee will subjectively pick a winner based on who has our favorite photo.
