The Dixie Chicks’ first full tour of the United States in a decade will come to the Austin360 Amphitheater on Aug. 7, the venue announced this morning.

The Texan trio of Natalie Maines, Emily Robison and Martie Maguire has played only a select few U.S. dates since a nationwide tour in 2006 to support their album “Taking the Long Way.” Their last Austin show was in 2011 at the Erwin Center as part of a benefit for Bastrop fire victims.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, via ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000. A presale is available to Citi card members at 10 a.m. Nov. 18. The tour starts June 1 in Cincinnati and ends Sept. 2 in Salt Lake City, with a single Los Angeles date coming later at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 10. All Dixie Chicks tour dates are posted here.

Public attitudes toward the trio appear to have changed somewhat since the 2003 controversy over a statement about then-president George W. Bush that led to a backlash among the group’s conservative fans. Two months ago, Maines finally was inducted into the West Texas Walk of Fame in Lubbock, the largely conservative Panhandle city where she was born and raised.
