In what is likely to be one of the most magical concerts of the spring, Florence and the Machine, who beautifully closed out Austin City Limits Festival late last year will be back in town on May 19, when the band’s “How Beautiful” tour stops at Austin360 Amphitheater. We caught up with lead singer Florence Welch before she played the fest last year and she was as thoroughly charming off stage as she is on. We also managed to dig up an old video from her first Austin performance, a stripped down set during South by Southwest 2008 that she closed by jumping in a fountain and then diving under the stage.

To make her Austin360 Amphitheater performance even sweeter, she’s bringing electropop artist Grimes, who we loved at Fun Fun Fun Fest, along as an opener.

Tickets to the amphitheater show run from $30.50-$80.50 and go on sale Saturday, Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets.
