As we speculated last week, Iggy Pop and Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, who have a new collaborative album “Post Pop Depression” that drops on March 18, will perform at the South by Southwest Music Festival. This will be one of the first shows their collaborative band performs before heading out on a U.S. and European tour. In addition to material from the new album, the group will perform material from Pop’s solo career.
The showcase is scheduled for Wednesday, March 16 at ACL Live.
We’re still waiting to hear whether Kanye and the Swish Waves will grace us with their presence.
Also, SXSW wristbands went on sale this morning for Austinites (and our homies in Waco, College Station and San Marcos.)
