The Art of Rap Festival with Public Enemy, Ice-T, MC Lyte, Mobb Deep, Doug E. Fresh, EPMD and more set to go down on Sunday at the Austin360 Amphitheater has been cancelled. An email from local promoter C3 Presents didn’t offer a reason for the cancellation, but indicated that refunds will be available at the point of purchase.

The lineup for the show was fantastic, but the brutal heat we’ve been experiencing made it harder to get psyched about going to a long show at an outdoor amphitheater, especially considering numerous artists on the bill have made prominent Austin stops in the last year or so.

But we’re pretty bummed about MC Lyte, who hasn’t played our city in ages. So let’s just drop this video here so we can all take a moment to lament the live set that will not be.
