HAAM Benefit Day, the biggest annual event benefiting the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, is set for Sept. 13, the organization announced today.
Last year’s event marked the 10th anniversary of the nonprofit’s efforts to help local musicians receive affordable health care services. HAAM Benefit Day features hundreds of performances all day and night at businesses all across town, from nightclubs to restaurants to grocery stores (Whole Foods is the event’s official presenter) and beyond.
This year’s lineup will be announced later on the HAAM website. New this year is a partnershop with GigTown, which will help book some of the event. When patrons check into a HAAM Benefit Day event with the GigTown app, GigTown will tip $5 to that venue’s performer and also donate $5 to HAAM.
