After delivering their first performance in 20 years, a face-melting set at Beerland on Saturday, noise rock trio Cherubs have added a few more significant dates on their fall schedule. The band will perform as part of the Mohawk’s 10th anniversary celebration on Saturday, Sept. 17, taking the special guest slot on a bill with Dan Deacon and Octopus Project.
Later in the fall, the band will appear at the inaugural Sound on Sound Festival. SOS Fest takes place Nov. 4-6 at Sherwood Forest Faire and features headline performances from Beach House, Phantogram and Explosions in the Sky.
In other Sound on Sound Fest news, Death Grips, a band SOS booker Graham Williams and crew decided to “consciously uncouple” with in 2014, after being stood up twice for Fun Fun Fun Fest, has changed the date of their performance. The band is now scheduled to play on Friday.
