Friday marks not only the first day of ACL Fest Weekend Two but also the birthday of Thom Yorke: Englishman, environmentalist, father, DJ, dancer of funny dances, and frontman of Radiohead. To see how the reclusive rocker might best celebrate the occasion before his band’s big set tonight at Zilker Park, we asked a few fans to serve as Thom’s personal party-planning committee.

How should Thom celebrate?
“He should just get on stage and play a set of cover songs he likes. Honestly, whatever he wants to play I would like it.”
-Mitchell Mobley, Baton Rouge, La.

“With me!”
-Mandy Cannon, Houston

“Go out and have some drinks. I’m not much for celebrity gossip, but I’ve heard he just went through a bad break-up. I’ve been through one of those… Just go out there and unwind. It’s the end of the tour; he’s earned it.”
-Brandon Schubert, Arlington, Texas

“By playing some deep cuts, like “Fake Plastic Trees’… Or by moving to Austin. Let’s just keep him here!”
-Ryan Soule, Northeast Texas

What would you say to Thom on his birthday?
“Thanks for being the soundtrack to my 20s, and now my 30s. [Radiohead] was just that band during my formative years… In my mind, they’re the seminal band of our generation.”
-Brandon S.

“I hope everything happens that you ever wanted–that you’ve achieved your dreams.”
-Mitchell M.

“Do whatever you want… as long as you play tonight!”
-Ty Cannon, Houston

“I wouldn’t even begin. I feel like Thom Yorke is just such a creative genius, I wouldn’t have the words to say.”
-Ryan S.

Must-hear song tonight?
“Nude” or “Pyramid Song”
-Mitchell M.

“How to Disappear Completely”
-Ty C.

“The Numbers”
-Brandon S.

“I Might Be Wrong”
-Ryan S.
