SXSW 2017: The Roots & friends jam session returns with Meth & Red, Jidenna, Shakey Graves

Last year America’s greatest live band, the Roots came to South by Southwest to host a jam, similar to the legendary Superjam that drummer and musical director, Questlove, hosts at Bonnaroo. Today, sponsor Bud Light announced plans to bring the jam back a second year for a night-long event starting at 8:30 p.m. on March 18 at 800 Congress Ave.

Artists on the roster this go round include rising R&B artist and dapper “Classic Man” Jidenna, rappers Method Man and Redman and Austin’s own Shakey Graves. This is an official SXSW showcase.
