Carnaval Brasileiro announces dates for 41st samba party in Austin

February is traditionally one of the coldest, grayest months of the year in Central Texas, but for the past 40 years, that hasn’t stopped Austinites from shedding their clothes and shaking their hips at the vibrant Brazilian Mardi Gras party, Carnaval Brasileiro.

The 41st carnaval is set to go down February 10, 2018 at the Palmer Events Center. The event includes musical performances from Brazilian artist Dandara Odara and her 7-piece band alongside Austin’s own Grupo Massa. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door and will go on sale Dec. 15. More info.
