Gary Clark Jr. has rescheduled his June 13-15 three-night stand at ACL Live to December 3-5, the venue announced Tuesday.
All tickets purchased will be honored on the corresponding day in the series: June 13 to Dec. 3, June 14 to Dec. 4 and June 15 to Dec. 5.
The venue’s press release stated the postponement was “due to circumstances beyond control.” A publicist with Warner Bros., Clark’s label, confirmed Tuesday that it’s related to a recent hand injury that Clark described on Instagram as a “drunk kung fu fail.”
In late February, Clark performed with Austin rappers Phranchyze and Zeale in a new act called Blackillac. His right hand and forearm were wrapped in a cast at that time.
Clark has been busy at Arlyn Studios working on his first studio album since 2015’s “The Story of Sonny Boy Slim.” It’s expected to be released before the end of the year, according to the Warner Bros. publicist.
