There’s no announcement yet from Circuit of the Americas, but reports this morning of new Bruno Mars tour dates included an Oct. 20 stop at the outdoor venue, which just happens to be during the weekend of this year’s Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix.
On Mars’ official website, there’s a gap between shows on Oct. 14-15 in Dallas (at American Airlines Center) and the start of a four-show run at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Oct. 23. However, a Rolling Stone report lists an Oct. 20 stop at Circuit of the Americas.
Mars certainly fits the bill as the kind of top-drawing musical act the venue usually features as part of its marquee auto racing event. Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and Elton John have been headliners at the track the past three years.
Mars is fresh off a banner night at the Grammys last month, taking home six awards including Album, Record and Song of the Year. The September and October tour dates announced today also feature Cardi B, who was announced a few days ago as one of the headliners for Jmblya 2018 on May 5 at Circuit of the Americas.
